mklotz70
Thanks :) The rapid tap might, but it's pretty expensive and makes a mess. I'd rather buy a file twice as often than to deal with cutting oil when filing. :) Quote Link to comment
DanielC
Years ago, I took a few machining classes at Clackamas Community College. The instructor said to lift a file on the backstroke, the teeth will last much longer. Same thing with a hacksaw. Drills will last a lot longer if you use something to lubricate them, But I do not use a dedicated cutting fluid. I just use some old engine oil, I keep i a small cup, in the garage, with a small brush in it. Mike, when do you think the brake brackets will be done? Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
I thought they would have been done by now, but a new granddaughter last week slowed things down a bit. This is the wrong month for me to be so busy in the shop! lol!! I thought about shutting the shop down and putting the xmas tree out there since the house doesn't have any room........but I've got too many people waiting for stuff they've already paid for. :( Speaking of the shop......I'd better get out there :) ...oh.....I'm hoping to get them welded today or tomorrow and at the plater's abotu tuesday......so maybe by the end of next week?
