Factory Datsun 510 Wagon Roof Rack

Recommended Posts

Wanting to sell this roof rack:

wagonrack.JPG

It is in very good shape, I have the fasteners for it (pictured in the Ziploc bag), and is fully functional. I just don't like the way roof racks look personally so I am selling it. The shipping would be too much $$$, so this would be something that we need to be able to meet in Northern Oregon or Southern Washington for, or at the next Canby meet, ect.

Since it is in functional and in very good shape, I am going to try to sell it for $100 or best offer. Feel free to PM me.

How's the chrome on the feet? Pitted or smooth?

I have the same rack, but it's got some pitting - Yours looks cleaner.

There are a couple small bumps, but for the most part its immaculate, it even has the rubber that goes underneath to protect the roof. The car was in a California field for most of its life, so rust wasn't an issue.

I sent you PM's about the back seat before Canby, and wanted to make the swap at Canby, but you never answered my PM's or e-mails, so I waited a several more months. I sent you an email with the pic's along with the PM's two months ago,but with no reply, I decided I am going to see if anyone local wants it. I know you wanted a roof rack, so I gave you the first chance to trade for it or buy it. After several PM's and e-mails over the last 8 months with no replies with a time or place or even if you for sure wanted to trade for or buy it, I am guessing you don't want it that badly, and I need money for parts to finish my car.

it doesn't matter to me who buys it, I just don't have the time to deal with shipping. The shop where I work is down to 1 tech besides myself, and I barely have time to work on my own car, without having to set up packaging and freight. If anyone can make it within a half an hours drive of here and wants it I will sell it. I will have to pay gas money to whoever I get to haul it in the back of their truck, so the closer the better.

I know there are a few people that would like to buy or trade for this rack, but at this point I need the money for parts, so if someone can pick it up and hand me cash, it is theirs...I have been holding onto it for a year, and I need new tires on my wagon :)

I was responding to post #6 above. Someone quoted me and left a message to someone else. I'd like a roof rack, but they pop up locally from time to time. Much easier to find in So Cal than Az I would imagine. If the fellow ends up willing to ship, go for it..

Sorry, Dunc - my bad. You wuz first. :)

I just meant that I have someone local who'd pick it up and ship it if he doesn't want the hassle.

coming from seattle, would u be willing to meet part way?

I can head up to Portland or something, but the only person I know with a truck has a chevy that will eat up gas money quick, which was why I was trying to sell it in the greater portland metro area.

Spades, can I PayPal you and have someone pick it up for me?

I don't have a paypal account, I suppose I could set one up. I am fine with having someone pick it up, at this point I am just waiting for someone to show more than just general interest in it and actually close a deal.
