bLatantS30 Posted August 20, 2010 Report Share Posted August 20, 2010 1972 Datsun 240Z S30 -Stock L24 Inline-6 w/ 85,000 original miles -Carburetor and valve tune 3 Months ago -2nd Owner -Clean Title -Located in Long Beach Interior: -White vinyl, some areas are pretty stained -Driver's seat has seam tears on the bottom section -A few of the plastic trim panels have chips out of them -NEW Black carpeting throughout front and back -NEW Armrest -Clean, uncracked original dash -NO interior rust -All gauges work except for clock -Speedo reads 10mph over after 20-30mph -Factory radio not hooked up, could use new speakers <<< My next plans -Driver seat-belt doesn't retract in, but is stuck at a decent length to buckle Exterior: -Painted Orange in the late 80's, from a factory blue -A fair amount of chips and scratches after over 20 years, still looks great -No dents aside from two little notches -XXR 522s 15x8, 0 offset, flat black. Few months old, NO curb damage -Falken Ziex rubber only 2k miles -Tokico Illumina struts w/ unknown lowering springs -Custom 2" exhaust to aftermarket muffler -NEW Front Valance, still black fiberglass -All 4 wheel hubs replaced six months ago -New brake pads in front and shoes in back -Both rear brake drum cylinders recently repaired -Brake master cylinder recently replaced -New clutch installed 6 months ago -Minor fender rust(pics) -Weather stripping still good and in tact -Bumpers still nicely chromed -Old 76 antenna ball Included with the car: -Classic American Racing-Libre 14" wheels that came on the car when I bought it -Haynes repair manual -Original front valance -Black leather bra w/ 240z logo -Extra front brake pads THIS WEEK ONLY (UNTIL SUNDAY 8/22) I WILL LET GOT FOR $5000 FIRM! I purchased this car from the original owner about 4 months ago and love owning it. The reason why I am selling is because I plan on moving to Portland next week and would like to buy something more suitable for the weather once I'm there. I've been through SMOG WARS with my 76 B210. My B210 was high on HYDROCARBONS :o :D in 2008, then HIGH on NITROS OXIDES in 2010 :lol: :D. I have a new air pump for installation in 2012. This is all just about some stressful nerves stirring up from the thought of a bad break down on the way. I start work 3 days after I plan on getting back and it would really suck to not make it or have to spend hundreds of dollars more to get there in time. Regardless, I have a few people interested but I'm still 50/50 on letting it go. Link to comment
