Sudo Posted August 10, 2010 Report Share Posted August 10, 2010 Well, I thought I could just be patient and rebuild one then the other, but the Goon needs to go so I can sink that money into the 520. Bought for $500 (because there arent that many in Wichita, KS.) $100 in wheels, another $100 in tires, $54 from rockauto.com and I replaced the left lower ball joint, $47 for new alternator, and I swiped the bracket from my 520. (broken bracket was the cause for the old alternator burnin up, me thinks) Other than that, I haven't done much but drive it (it is currently my DD). I haven't even cleaned the interior. As you will see in the pix. L16 w/4 speed. Runs and drives fine, but not perfect: needs brake job and an alignment. 240 seat in drivers side. I have the brackets for drivers side seat- just no seat. Original passenger seat and brackets goes with goon, but it needs recovered. Rear seat in good condition. Dash is okay, busted and covered with Oklahoma red clay dust. Speedometer does not work. Headlights, brake lights, tail lights, turn signals all work. windshield wipers work. No horn. The main problem with this car is rust. Glass is all good. Neither of the rear doors open from the outside. Hatch operates fine it even stays open without a 2x4! Located in Wichita, KS. recommend trailering anything over 50 miles (4 speed) Will work with you on storage and/or shipper. I'll be glad to answer any questions you have. Well, any questions you have concerning the condition and purchase of this Datsun... $600 with wheels/tires $500 with steelies that I bought the car with. Will post on eBay next month if no one on ratsun wants it. with original steelies with "new" wheels and tires roof rack NOT original equipment and also not attached. buyer can take it or not... passenger seat and brackets. Yup! Under 1 of 2 conditions: 1) you trailer it or 2) you keep it under 55mph (its a 4 speed and will drive all day, you just can't push 'er too hard) -this goon is going on CL tonight. -eBay in October.
