benson64L
I was wondering if you guys know of a good way to get the pin out that keeps the oil pump gear from sliding off the crank shaft? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
There is no pin holding it on.The crank has a groove in it with a woodruff key that fits into this slot and one in the drive gear. Just gently tap it forward and off the end of the crank. I've pulled over a dozen of these off by hand and never had a problem. You can see the woodruff key on the crank end used to hold the crank pulley in place. Just behind is the oil slinger, the oil pump/dizzy drive spindle and behind them is the timing gear sprocket. All are on woodruff keys and slide forward and off. The bottom crank has all three keys in the bottom of the crank front. The top one has the drive gear and the sprocket gear still on Quote Link to comment
