FoxyRoadster Posted December 18, 2009 Report Share Posted December 18, 2009 I thought about doing a rotary engine which would be badass but well I just don't see it as the best engine to get cost wise for me cause I'm so cheap it proably will make people cry with the corners I'll be cutting. But I'm going to get a 1.8BP out of a Miata... I picked one up for $150 with attached 5 speed and all of the parts including ECU, harness, MAF, and everything! with all the 240sx owners swapping SRs in their cars, KAs are plentiful! no need to cut the frame, stays nissan, i believe it makes more power than the miata engine, and it is seriously torquey!!! anyways, thats my 2 cents... Lbs. for pound, I dont think there is a more senseable engine for the car. The 5 spd.will give all Scratsun can handle. If there were 1 change ,or an area to spend a bit more were would you have put it. I'm in gathering/plan ,mode and just absorbing at this point. Quote Link to comment

I'm also quite the fan of all the aftermarket support the BP has, but for now it will be with the R16 tell I have the cash for the engine. Might get lucky and find a KA. Quote Link to comment
Tacomaboy Posted May 15, 2010 Report Share Posted May 15, 2010 Shoot ; I scored today. 96 DE with 5 spd. MAF,IGN,Auto ECU,full eng. harness. All still mated from 240.
