1980 280zx...make a rat rod!! lol

Recommended Posts

Like the title says. Runs great, been driving it for the past month or so. Replaced the u-joints in the half shafts and the passenger side rear control arm (bearings were out of the other one). It is rough, but it's cheap. The speedo doesn't work but I haven't looked into it to see whats wrong. It's got steel wheels on the front right now (better tires), I do have the slotted mags to match the rear that will go with the car when it sells. Bought this to drive this winter, but now I'm getting the Maxima, so this has to go!! I've got it listed on Craigslist for 800, but I'll take 600...nothing less..I mean come on, it's a running driving Z car. Oh, it's a 5 speed manual...the shifter could probably use a new bushing (it's a little sloppy so no speed shifting!). There's no radio either. BTW...this is the lightest ZX made as it has no power anything!(except brakes, of course). Manual steering rack! Kinda rare in these. This car is actually lighter than the previous generation 280Z. Yes, this car does have some rust..or as a friend called it: Progressive weight reduction. Anyway, here's some pics...
