RadioRedline
Sorry no pics, camera phone still in shop :( BUT I did FINALLY finish my carb for my yellow 620! I must say, its perfect, and beautiful! I will post pics asap. I set it on the manifold and will bolt up, hook up the vacuum lines, and throttle cable, and start her up! Also have my red 620 on jackstands and have the winterwheels off, so I can service the brakes, and powdercoat the rims properly, unlike spray it on the truck technique by the P.O. GRRR! datzenmike
Radio, Crappy Tire now has their Motomaster filters (the ones that used to be made by fram) made in China. The old ones had red and black lettering, the Chinese ones are all black lettering. Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
Can't wait to show you that Fram is fine. Radio Poor Radio , Many ratsuners have had bad luck or know people who have bad luck with cram. Sure you can cut a filter open and show it's contents , ponder the marketing ploy, type of shipment to retail stores , or you can wait for it to starve/plug your engine up like it started to on mine. ( I got reallllllllly lucky ) If you don't believe anything else , know Fram = Engine Death. This is not a joke    . Yes I have used them in the past and had no serious problems , but better safe than sorry. ( There like cheap condoms , they don't work when you want them too ! and always do when you expect them not too  :o )   I have had a bad experience lately with the "sure grip" brand of "Cram Oil Filters." Please click link and continue further to read at least first post. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/19380-fram-oil-filters-fail/page__view__findpost__p__269308__fromsearch__1 Will you do a trade in program ? I'll find/ship some Frams to you and you ship me back Wix/Napa/Purolator filters ??? :P :D Waiting for pictures of the carb :D Quote Link to comment

tnip
so i don't think i've read every single post, but i know i've read most. i just wanted to add my 2 cents on this fram argument. i work at a parts store. i sell those shitty filters all the time. i try to get people to buy better stuff... but they don't listen. that whole brand loyalty thing is really strong in the south. "my daddy always used frams and i'm gonna always use frams" whatever man. it is true that fram filters are not the best filters in general. it is also true that there is a difference between frams purchased at walmart and frams purchased from a parts store, or a tire store. (walmart does this with alot of their products, name branded chinese knockoffs.) that being said, their "good" filter from the parts store is still not the best filter available. even if you just "upgrade" to the fram tough guard it's a step in the right direction. for the average everyday knuckle head that buys them, it doesn't matter. for a fellow ratsuner i would suggest you look into the vast amounts of information available on here and other sites about filter quality and all that. to end on some sort of a positive note. good job on the trucks, and as late as it is, the garage looks good. now everybody can continue the completely necessary jabs. 1 Quote Link to comment

420n620
I remeber this happening to my 620, it turned out to be the solenoid, I took the noid off, cleaned the plunger and inside where it slides, put it back on and wala. back on the road again. Quote Link to comment

Ran a jumper cable from positive on battery to starter directly. nothing happened. Checked battery connections, starter, solenoid connections, all look good. When I turn the key the guages light up once, and It goes 'click' once. So I will get starter tested tom I think. and get a new one if thats needed. Radio Quote Link to comment

Radio You might want to make sure you get a warranty too if you can afford , Re-Manufactured starters and alternators are always a dime a dozen for me ( Try one , take it back , exchange , try another , take it back and exchange , try another , etc.... ) for a lot of electrical stuff like that. Stay away from Auto-Lite ( I always have bad luck , but could be wrong  ) Quote Link to comment

RadioRedline
Yellow was back on the road last night! Cruzed all around Regina, took it for a bath, royal treatment! My Friend James came over to help getting it tuned and running. It seems to have an erratic idle, still but This morning it turned over, but couldn't get it started, and I flooded it after trying. So tonite will attempt to find out if its the choke not closing tight enuf (my 1st suspiscion) or maybe timing? Either way I am 1000% ahead of where I was! Radio Quote Link to comment
tnip
was it a bad starter? use the one off the L20? 1 Quote Link to comment
