carburator questions

My car is a Datsun 521 1970 L16 stock

 

I have some questions:

 

The small metal pipe conected between the distributor and the carburetor base is pluged, how it is works?

 

The low jet injector it is not working.. what are the causes?

need to rebuilt or what are the recomendations?

 

and the last and final:

the carburator missed some parts???

because I don't know how i can conecct the acelerator cable/.....

some pics would be great and that way someone can accurately help you....

 

maybe, im not 521 expert, but the piping between the carb and distro is the spark advance system that works with the vacuum.

 

about the jet, have you already pulled it out and check it?

the vaccum adv from carb to dist is not that important to keep the truck running. but if you can hook it up I would. if you cant hook it up just plug the carb side.

 

the truck you have is missing the linkage where the cable fit in to pull the carb linkage? Well if you know it missing then find one. what hsppen to the orginal.

 

persoanlly when the stock carbs go bad or need work I would get a weber DGV. the 32/36DGV 5A is the chapest and its a manual choke. youll need the kit as it needs a carb adapter webercarbsdirect.com has photos.

does this mean the main fuel jet or you mean the accell pump is not working when you cycle the gas and its suppose to squirt in the main barrel of the carb???
