Z chopper
Haha, that might be it! I do miss that thing. I actually traded the 510 without the SR for a 1990 240sx then I put the SR into it. It was a fun car, but not nearly as quick as that 510 was. Honestly, I got rid of that 510 because that thing scared me haha. is that not the reason why you should have kept it? Quote Link to comment
spoolinitup33
is that not the reason why you should have kept it? Haha I don't know man. It needed a lot of body work that I couldn't do and I couldn't afford to do. And I was afraid the old steering was going to go out in it lol. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Keihin Flat CRs on an A12 engine ... you can buy the setup outright from mail order shops. A12 is great. Factory engine will rev to 8,000 RPM if you change the valve springs. Quote Link to comment

GreenEggs&Ham
That GTR is very distracting...:D I love that fastback though! Has any one done ZG flairs and seriously dished wheels on one yet? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Of course it has been done. SR20DET, F2J0DET, even V6s have been put in 1200s. Deep dish with ZG flares been done a lot a 1200. Quote Link to comment
kinetisist
Pictures of a 1200 coupe east of Seattle. 1972 Skyline- cars built same year-Skylines very cool! SWEEEEEEEET ride .. never knew that Datsun made such a car. David Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The smaller one is not a Datsun 1200 (sold in japan as Datsun Sunny 1200) The larger one is a Nissan Skyline C10, cloned to look like an original GTR. Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
love those wheels datsunfreak. What are the specs on those? Wheel 15x7 +0 offset Tire 195/45-15 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Tire 195/45-15 195 is the widest size that will fit on the front under the fenders of a 1200. Wheel 15x7 +0 offset I would have expect 195s with so little offset to stick out past the fenders. I reckon they will rub unless you roll the fenders. How do they look from more of a rear view? ggzilla
Here's another 1200 tire view, this one with 15x8 wheels (offset unknown). They stick out past the fenders, but he used narrow tires so they wound't rub. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
195 is the widest size that will fit on the front under the fenders of a 1200. Depends on diameter. 205/40-16's fit, 215/40-17s fit. But yes, on a 15" wheel, 195 is really the limit of a stock-style suspension. I could easily get a 205 under the front with a +10 wheel. I would have expect 195s with so little offset to stick out past the fenders. Not with 4 degrees of negative camber in the front and 5 degrees in the rear. I could go 225 in the back if I wanted to. I reckon they will rub unless you roll the fenders. Who owns a Datsun without rolled fenders? :P :P :P Not me. How do they look from more of a rear view? We'll see whan it gets back on the ground in a few weeks. :D Quote Link to comment
