Cruzn620 - I have doen the BMW headlight swap on my 620 w/HID. I am very happy how it turned out but it took a few hours to install. If you go to the thread originally posted by 69FJWagon titled: Anybody know who owns this?, you can see pics there.

Hainz: Are your lowbeams bigger than your high's? I can't tell if it's just the lighting on the small picture, but it looks like you're running smaller highbeams... Has anybody ever tried replacing the lowbeams with 7" lamps?

I really like the look of the "fog" lamps next to the lowbeams... Would it be possible to take the stock 521 (or other model) 4-headlight setup and run single high/low beam lamps on the outside (using wires from both lights on each side to control high/low beam), then mount yellow fogs (Bosch 5.75"?) in place of the original high beams (wired to a separate circuit)?

Hainz, I think I like your setup too much, hopefully you can forgive me if I copy it somewhat on my 521... :D

Edit: Ok, looking closer I can tell both lights are the same size... Still, I like the larger outside/smaller inside setup, so unless someone can point out any major issues with that I'll see if I can do it...

the 521/510/620/610 inner and outers are the same size 5.75. You should now this. My inner highs are stock with a Laminex yellow coating. YOu can buy a spray also.

I got the H4(E codes) outers low/high as I need a better low driving light.

I went with 80/100 watt Hellas(HL78159). The H4 bulb creates the cutoff cause of the deflector.

the inner High beans are 50 or 55 watt watt stock or the E codes so I didnt worry about them.

sealed the edges with a clear sealer and heated it over the stove to make it soft.

the newer lighting systems might be better even the cheap fake HID kits . but I have to see them in person. Most itme I seee just the cheap disposable headlamps in most Ratsuns

Hainz: Thanks for the reply... I knew the inner/outer headlamps were the same size, but with inner lights on yours look smaller, probably because of the way the light hits them. I guess I was always too distracted by the hood to take a closer look at the lights... :D
