1Low620
I've got a stock Hitachi on my L20, was kinda curious as to what other options are out there. 1.) Hitachi 2.) Weber 3.) Mikuni's Anything else? I've never really delt with Hitachi/Webers, don't even mess with the mikuni that's on my Harley and know their expensive. I believe my carb needs an overhaul, but am debating on upgrading but just don't know what to upgrade to. My L20 is stock, any advise would be much appreciated :) Quote Link to comment
Cuts metal like mad
Motorcycle carbs :D Specifically 98-01 Yamaha R1. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Mikuni Solex are the carbs of choice for JDM engine tuning More choices: * Dellorto carbs. Fit on the standard weber/mikuni manifold. * SU carbs, very similar to Hitachis but found in the junkyard on European cars and Volvos. * Twin Hitachi EFI kit Datsun L Series 4-Cyl. Twin SU kit ($600) Quote Link to comment

"Sidewinder" came from the shape of the fuel rail connecting the 2 carbs. Quote Link to comment
HLS30
How much is a nice set of mikuni solex phh 44 mm with L20B intake manifold cost now a days???? Quote Link to comment
RoadRace
depends on who's selling them! i paid $650 for a 'near new' pair with linkage and a manifold, and i've had no problems. new price is a few hundred more. wolfcreekracing.com has them. Quote Link to comment
72dat
I was just looking at a holley that would fit my offy manifold on my L18. Do you know which 80'2 chevys have the "sidwinder" MikeRL411? Quote Link to comment
