I grabbed one from a Hardbody, the threads are different, but I was making a short shifter anyway (and I reccomend you do the same :) )

He said he got it polished not that he polished it so I'm assuming that he had someone do it for him or he paid to have it done. How cool is that, either way? Er, ... was that French polish?

 

I got one off a Honda, I think, it had a much nicer shape and the numbers were amber and set in a clear plastic with a black background.

i think its the glean it the eyes of the holder while shes working her 'magic' ;)
