kiznook
shouldn't that be, Slightly higher 1st 2nd and 5th? small number higher gear? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
A lower number means a higher gear, or effort to turn so this can be confusing. Lower is higher. Thus a lower first will be a harder take off gear. I usually say 'lower gear, higher numerically' to explain but was tired last night. If there is a propper way to say it that everyone accepts I'll try to use it. Quote Link to comment
Bleach
so i got my lz22 started now i just need to find a trans to match. what are my options? suggestions? depends if the block is an L-series block or Z-series... there are several ways people combine those two engine types. hang_510
i have both Z blocks, LZ24 w/a dogleg and the LZ22 will get the ZX(3rd on the list) Quote Link to comment
kiznook
It looks to me (I could be reading it wrong) that the 79+ zx have HIGHER (lower numerically) gears, 3.062="higher" gear than 3.321. so it seems TO ME that the middle two are geared "taller" throughout. Harder to get going (slower accel) but higher top speed Quote Link to comment
