LAYEDOUTB2K
My dad just finally got his 4 door 510 running the other day and I got a chance to hear it. The sound quality in the videos doesn't quite do it justice. The header has a gasket leak so it doesn't sound too great under the hood but sounds amazing when I walked towards the back. Notice how it struggles to turn over. That is with a brand new battery and a gear reduction starter. The red top optima isn't hooked up yet so it'll be better with that. specs: LZ22 peanut head milled down and ported not sure of cam specs bored .080 over 16.1:1 compression mallory billet unilite distributor msd ignition holley carb(soon to be dual 44mm solex's) header 2.5" exhuast w/ flowmaster head gasket is assembled with aluminumized paint to lesson chance of blowing I know there is a lot more but my dad built it so I'm not quite sure. LAYEDOUTB2K
Do you buy av gas by the drum for it? He'll probably have to bring a drum in the backseat on the way to canby next year especially once he puts the duals on. We have never tried av gas in it due to the amount of antifreeze that is found in a lot of that gas. He had been able to run a 50/50 mix of 110 and premium but that was quite a few years ago when pump gas wasnt crap. He was running MS98 at the time in the video and was going to try driving the car with it. Luckily he can adjust the timing right from the dash so if it does start detonating, he can turn the knob a retard the timing a bit. Quote Link to comment
