If you have new battery and alternator they presumably are good so start with ALL connections to them. Make sure the battery ground on the side of the head is solid. If there isn't one, make a good solid ground connection from the battery negative to the sheet metal on the body. Also check that the voltage regulator is soildly mounted and grounded. sirchopz Posted October 6, 2009 Author Report Share Posted October 6, 2009 Done! I rewired and found nothing. So I took the alternator off again, and took it to autozone to re-test it. Guess what! It failed this time got myself a replacement but it was not the right one, went back and got 510 alternator instead. Now it works real good! Thank you Gang... Quote Link to comment
