thisismatt
Yeah...it's a crank case vent...aka breather...for air/noxious gases/blow by. Route it into an oil catch can w/breather or back into your intake Quote Link to comment
Thebandito
any suggestions like links where i could find the parts for it the guy who had it didnt check it and well u can imagine the mess it made in the engine Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
This is an example of how it would have been hooked up with the emissions equipment: Most people bypass all that and just dump it into a catch can, onto the street, or...whatever Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
The pipe is part the PCV (Positive Crank Case Ventillation) system. Ask your dad about a PCV Valve. There should be a rubber hose that is smaller on one end that connects to the PCV Valve which should be screwed into the intake manifold under neth the carberator. In the diagram the: Pipe is #4 The hose is #5 The PCV Valve is #6 I cannot tell what # 3 is. This in my opinion should be hooked up and functional. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
#3 is a clamp ;) Quote Link to comment
Thebandito
now i guess i gotta find th epart for it Quote Link to comment
fisch
now i guess i gotta find th epart for it Do you have a intake manifold for this engine? The part is probably already in it. You connect a hose from this pipe to something sticking out of your manifold. Is there something sticking out of your manifold that looks like you could stick a hose on it? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The black fitting just below the carb adapter is the PCV valve. All intakes will have one usually near this location. Quote Link to comment
