Cuts metal like mad
I decided to find out what was under the poorly done rattlecan job. I know there are some blemishes under there, but with as much decent paint as I've found so far, I think I'd rather spot fix the bad parts. I just need more goof off now! Quote Link to comment
DISLEXICDIME
graffiti remover works good for that Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
why would somebond cover up such nice 1970s blue paint? Quote Link to comment
racer135
Cool, I wonder how that stuff would go at removing old vinyl roof glue? Quote Link to comment
Morrisun
I bought a pair of good used seats for Smurf..to keep my ass from sliding all over the place. and a couple days later no clutch!! Pulled the engine and trans thinking throw out bearing but instead. One of the clutch plate spring was stuck between the clutch cover fingers and the clutch plate and a broken one as well those power shifts with a 3 cylinder 1200. I wondered what that noise was with trans in netural and the clutch released?? So the oil leak was between the head and block, NOT the valve cover gasket! Anybody else have this type of oil leak?? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
There is no pressurized oil passage near the back of the head, so that is very unusual. The oil passage is right center of the head gasket. Quote Link to comment
Cuts metal like mad
Not even waxed yet. Racer135, it wouldn't hurt to try, unless your car is spray painted. Quote Link to comment

Cuts metal like mad
Actually the front dampers are stock. I will be running rabbit inserts when I'm ready for it. I need stiffer springs in the front as well, springs were simply cut for now while I decide exactly what I want. Quote Link to comment

I love sky blue... It will eventually be painted again, but for now I'm gonna run the blue with some primer on the bad spots. If the color just doesn't work for you, you gotta do what ya gotta do. I didn't have any problems with the clutch, that was morrisun. The car has its issues, but thus far, shes treated me well. Looks like the starter is going out, but its a 42yr old car, things are bound to break. I put some new hydraulic hoses on, and bled the crap out of the brakes, now they work great. The carb was crapping out and I swapped it for one pumpkn210 had laying around, and had thought I got 42mpg on the last cruise... but actually miscalculated and got more like 53mpg!! I love this car. Cuts metal like mad
They have a patent number that dates to 1973 from sema... they are similar to the appliance mesh. Other than that, im unsure. ... bluelake, i may make it, the 1200 may not Quote Link to comment
