moparvwfreak
i started parting out my 78 KC today. it was, until about an hour ago, a running and driving truck. BUT, there is a bright side to this. i SHOULD have my 73 back on the road, again, in about a month. i will be doing the timing chain and hopefully my oil pump and clutch will work off my L16. i will keep teh body and frame around and eventually fix some of the rust, not all but some as i like the bucket look, and slam an SR into it and turn it into a drift truck. all in due time though. so as of now Sebastian is no longer among the living. farewell my friend. i will resurrect you someday. stevensonDNL
moparvwfreak: I'm sure your reasoning for parting out your '78 is valid, though I feel for your pain. I know I've always found it hard to part with a car or truck, even if I knew it was beyond hope. I'm sure your '78 will live on by keeping some other rides goin'. Dan Quote Link to comment

woodside4032
Take solace in knowing they go on by helping others go on. ;) Quote Link to comment
moparvwfreak
there are two reasons i am doing it, the main reason, RUST, and the 2nd is the trans is almost done. i will post pics of the rust issues so you can understand WHY i did it. but i still feel terrible. most times when its parted i know, for a fact, i cant fix it. this will be the 2nd car i have parted that i could have fixed. the other being a 78 aspen 4dr. these pics are only the rust i have found up front. there is more, much more, elsewhere. floorboards are shot, inner fenderwells by the hood hinges are shot, bed floor is trashed, fenders are rotten, passenger door is as well.
