Moisabamf
this gave me the idea to mount them farther forward Quote Link to comment

Guest Rick-rat
I think forward would be better, and I would use duct tape instead of masking tape Quote Link to comment
woodside4032
agreed further would be better. Quote Link to comment
Moisabamf
thanks for the comments on the lights :D it was Sliding_creep's idea originally and im almost certain im going another 4-6 inches forward Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
looking good. Car looks possessed with those lights. Now you can sell me the mirror on your door. ;) Quote Link to comment
datrod
Looks good Mo. But yea a little forward. And you need to use duct tape like they said. I don't think they will stay on at freeway speed with masking tape. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
opinions?Leave them off, fender mirrors are hideous. Quote Link to comment
Duncan
Mine are about 2-3 inches back from the rear edge of the side running lights . Also, I'm pretty sure one of the manuals I have has the exact dimension where the factory mounted them if you're overly concerned about authenticity. They look good and aren't too difficult to use, but when you get in the car and the far side mirror is off, it's a pain in the ass to get out and adjust. Quote Link to comment

datrod
Leave them off, fender mirrors are hideous. :fu: I love em. Once you get used to them they are way better. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The factory mounting is 27-1/4" from the rear point of the fender. That is, mine have the stalk centered 27.25 inch as measured along the top of the fender. Mine is factory RHD so it's probably the stock location. Those mirrors look like the Datsun 1200 Pickup mirrors, 1978-up type. I think they don't work as well as the US mirrors, except you can more easily tell when you have passed a car. So better in some ways. Quote Link to comment

Duncan
You need to paint the front spoiler to match the mirrors now.. Quote Link to comment
Moisabamf
You need to paint the front spoiler to match the mirrors now.. the front spoiler, rear tailight sorrounds, front vents, and the new fender flares will all match Quote Link to comment
mazdat
I like the fender mirror look, I put some fender mirrors on my green 510 with original Nissan 510 Coupe mirrors and mounted them in the original spot, I couldn't see , I always had to look over my shoulder to switch lanes without even looking at the mirrors Quote Link to comment
MAG58
I like my door mirrors. Convienent, and you can adjust them with your hand. Though I will say, that's a good looking set of fender mirrors. Quote Link to comment
hoov100
why not put them where the factory had them and then move them forward? Quote Link to comment
