atkinson40
How do I tell if my L18 is '73 or '74? The tune up specs are different. Also how do I id my carb. I don't see any electrical connections for an anti diesel valve. TIA Kevin Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
You can't, at least not without knowing the serial number ranges. In fact it might not be a US-spec L18 either. All but one of my L18s are late 70s JDM ones, with different "specs". Likely your engine is a mutt anyway, with the L16 intake/exhaust bolted to the L18 (JDM L18s had twin SUs or EFI on them, but generally that stuff was removed when the engines were imported). As fro the Weber, the model number and type are stamped on the base. The lack of an anti-dieseling solenoid is normal- 95% of them don't have one. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
For the tune-up settings, it's not critical. Use the 73 spec or 74 specs. For emissions testing use the specs for your year vehicle. Have fun! Quote Link to comment
