Bugeye
i would put the lash pads from the head that had the l20 in the new head Quote Link to comment
Jester
Need a cam??? Have a BRAND NEW one of those too.:lol::D Quote Link to comment
Bleach
i would put the lash pads from the head that had the l20 in the new head And make sure that each lash pad gets installed in the exact same order in the new head. The wear pattern is unique and you want each cam lobe to be with the same pad it was in the prior head. Otherwise, put in new or refinished lash pads. $$$ The L20 cam is basically the L16 SSS cam. Hardly longer duration. You might get upwards of 4hp at the top end. Its not worth doing at all unless your cam is bad and you need to replace it anyway. Quote Link to comment
groatd
so ur telling me it can be done but its not going to noticable? Quote Link to comment
Bleach
Exactly. If you swap in an L20b, the extra torque (though not much) will be noticable. Some things are better left undone. Quote Link to comment
hang_510
i would put the lash pads from the head that had the l20 in the new head AND rocker arms = matched to the lobe they were removed from. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
groatd dont waist your time and risk something going bad. If anything build a motor on the side while this rig is running. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It's also possible that the head you have has an L20B spec cam anyway. Quote Link to comment
