nkldime70
I am stuck I have been getting different opinions on this subject. I wanna know what you guys think. As of now I only have regular gear oil in my i believe 80-90 weight on my lsd. Should I add some type of additive, synthetic, etc. Quote Link to comment
HRH
You need a limited slip friction modifier to add to your regular oil. We sell Trans-X and another brand at NAPA. Think I used the trans-x in mine, it works great. Without it though, the clutches won't work correctly. Quote Link to comment
steve g
if its a viscous lsd you use normal 80-90 weight, the lsd system is sealed and not exposed to the gear oil. Quote Link to comment
nkldime70
My Lsd is a clutch type from an old Subie. Quote Link to comment
HRH
True that for the viscous. Clutch type needs the friction modifier or genuine Subi LSD oil. Quote Link to comment
