Loz
Was at the sparkies today getting a free new ignition... see other thread. Anyway he was taking off the cowl it sits in and noted a big crack. So he did something I have never seen before. got out a little box of saw dust and some super glue. liberally dripped on some glue and and then sprinkled the sawdust over it. then more glue (smoking by this point) and in the end wound up with a home brewed epoxy type weld! You ever seen this before? cheap and cheerful solutions courtesy of the land of smiles! :D Quote Link to comment

72wagun
This sounds similiar to the trick we used to repair our RC airplanes when I was a kid. We used CA (super glue from the hobby shop) and baking soda. You can build up glue joints quickly and fill large gaps with it. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
We do that on the vintage race boats I work on. Take epoxy glue and mix it with sawdust. With vintage boats, there's always lots of sawdust around. Quote Link to comment
