angliagt
A friend & I got into waxing cars back in our high school days. We got to do a lot of interesting cars (BMWs,Maserati Mistral,Ferrari- Daytona, etc). We specialized in 240Zs. The first one we did was from a guy who sold ads for the Yellow Pages phone book.He dropped it off at the neighbor's house (my partner in the car waxing business),& we told him that we'd drop it off at his work (downtown). I didn't even know how to drive a clutch. I drove it downtown,& parked it in a parking lot & heard a cracking noise. Turns ot that I hit the spoiler on a wooden parking stop.I ended up pay- ing $5 more for a new spoiler than we made from the job. I also got to stay with the owner, who lived up by the Twin Peaks area in San Francisco. He let me drive the car all over - I put about 200 miles on it in one day.Gas was cheap. - Doug Quote Link to comment
