Z-train
Absolutely go aluminum.I went factory 3 core in my 810 and i am at the ragged edge here in Tucson with A/C & this heat.If i did it over again,i'd go aluminum. No comparison. Quote Link to comment
hughdogz
I'm pretty sure the stock radiators are made of brass, not copper...Aluminum has twice the thermal conductivity of brass. Quote Link to comment
RatRod25
Brass?? lol i saw the color and figured copper! Thats good to know  Quote Link to comment
datrod
Top & bottom tanks are brass. Core is copper. (on most radiators.) A cross flow aluminum radiator is much better. Quote Link to comment
RatRod25
ok cool.. thanks fellas! :D Quote Link to comment
hang_510
i went w/stock 3 core(brass) as i figure at some point ill need a repair :cursing: an AL rad is not usually repairable, but... Aluminum has twice the thermal conductivity of brass. Quote Link to comment
Z-train
Cross-flows are superior to top/bottom tanks. But they come in both brass & aluminum. If i could have went with a cross-flow,i would be sitting pretty cool(git it?Cool?)Aluminum is better still.Griffin can make you a exact duplicate for your factory radiator in aluminum for a 500 bones. steve g
i have had no issues with the factory 3 core that i got from a 720 r/v and i use the air all the time in 105 degree heat. But my buddy has a 2 core cross flow from BeCool that fits factory in his 720 with a 4.3 swap and he runs about 180 all the time with no fan shroud in 105 heat.... so if you can .... aluminum cross flow is the way to go Quote Link to comment
RatRod25
Would it be possible to get a crossflow? As it is now i have tanks on top and bottom, but my both my rad hoses are on the same side Quote Link to comment
