das280zx
Has anybody here ever taken apart their power window switches on a 280zx? They are easy to service. They just have a few contacts that get dirty and corroded. If it gets bad, your windows won't work. Well anyhow I was servicing my passenger side one and had it all ready to go back together when a part falls onto the floor and is now apparently gone forever. I looked for over an hour I think. I have no idea where it went. It is this weird little metal part that looks like the end of a large ball-point pen that fits over a spring that actuates the little contacts. I wonder what other datsun's or nissan's might have a similar switch. No 280zx's were in the local pick and pull (according to the guy on the phone). I think I'll just have to go there and scrounge around. I dont' need the whole switch, just the little part. ARRRRRRGGGGG! Quote Link to comment
Bleach
The only 280ZX in the Tacoma yard is a 1979 with manual crank windows. :( However, there is a 1982 Maxima which has very similar parts to the Z Quote Link to comment
das280zx
zx's are almost getting to be too old to be seen frequently in yards. I might wait till I am in Prosser this weekend. E. wash has pretty decent yards. Quote Link to comment
das280zx
I think I got enough to fix it at Pick A Part. They didn't have any zx's, but I found an old early 80's subaru gl. They had similar switches. I think Subaru and Nissan used to have many of the same suppliers. So glad I found it though, and it was only 2.70 or something like that. Quote Link to comment
