ppeters914
A guy has had a roadster for sale all this year stating he has a U20 head on a L18. AFAIK, this is impossible. Anyone know for sure? Doug? Bueller? Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Yes, it's impossible. Well, nothing is impossible- I suppose one could rest the head on the block and hold it down with bungee cords. Of course it could be a U67, U60 casting number or have a U20 cast on the camshaft (U20 was the casting number on stock L16 cams). I say, prove it with pictures. Quote Link to comment
ppeters914
Yeah, that's what I figured, but he's claiming it says U20 on the head, so I asked him if I could come by and see it. I'll bring my camera. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Well, a U20 head doesn't say U20 on it. A U20 block does, but it's engraved, not cast. Just like an L16 will have one of many different numbers cast on. Quote Link to comment
