Guest Rick-rat
Sound Life Cruz-in I went to a wedding in the graham area on friday night and came home a different route than we went there and passed a sign that said car show july 11, so I got up this morning and went over to check it out. There was about150 cars and trucks there, mostly american cars and probably 20 foreign cars, VW's, Hondas, Toyotas, and 1 Datsun. I got 1st place for foreign entries with my truck. This was there first car show and will probably become an annual event. It would be nice to see more Datsuns there next year if they do it again, I will let you all know if it is going to happen again. There were quite a few really nice cars there. It was a good time and for a good cause and it is being done by a Church to help teens with drug and alchohol problems. They give away a bunch of stuff with raffle tickets, and have food available as well, with gals coming out to the show in golf cars and delivering your order to you if you want to do it that way. myfairlady
congradulations on your win, those suprise wins are the best. i have taken my 1967 roadster out to a few shows and paid high dollars not to win but just hang out and have fun and never have placed in anything. last saturday hubby and i decided to go to the next town murietta to a local restaurant called ziggy's and check out their cruz night. this is a free event and decided to enter my car and so did hubby. and what do you know i won special interest tropy. what a surprise. only two datsuns there. our car and truck got tons of attention . we were just happy to be there and meeting new folks. and to go home with something was special. congradulations again and this is for all the datsuns out there that never place. i share my trophy with all of you.
