qwik510
I looked at mine sitting in the driveway and then spent 5 hours cleaning the garage so it could fit back in there. Maybe it will get back in there tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
dattojoe
yanked out the old 4 speed from my 4door, and tomarrow I plan on mounting up a 5 speed. Quote Link to comment
Mesh-71
Well I pulled the fuse panel last night and let it soak overnight in vinegar, scrubbed it clean this morning and reinstalled it, cleaned a few connections and replaced a few bulbs, and I got the lights working, everything but the high beams, but I was so happy that everything else was working I decided that was enough electrical for one day. :P So I cut down a backing plate for the su air cleaner, cut it to a size to fit an 80's subie filter.... easier to come by, also cut down the acrylic that the carbs p/o used as an air cleaner top, it is not the prettiest but fully functional until I can afford something better, cant beat the price though! 8 bucks for a new filter :D Quote Link to comment
goatee
Opened the valve cover to check the head bolt torque after running the new head gasket for a few days. All good so far. Noticed the timing chain is pretty slack. Messed with the wiper motor and head lights again. 1 Quote Link to comment
dattojoe
put a new ring gear onto my flywheel, and dug out the 5 speed from my parts stash. I picked it up and about 2 quarts of water comes out of it. pretty much ruined my day. Quote Link to comment

RoadRace
pics of the new suite i'm making in the garage? just kidding! haven't had any time to take pics - probably the furthest thing from my mind at the moment. i'll snap a few because thats the easy part - posting them requires time...right now i'm just venting because i'm at work and got so much to do at home, like get the motor in the car and fire it up and get it loaded to go racing tomorrow after work. I don't want to be here right now... Quote Link to comment

RoadRace
last one i bought was $130 (from vancouver) i got this one for $78 US so it'll be less money. but as far a local, nobody wants to get what you what YOU want, they want to sell you what THEY want. the dealership did not call me back after 2 days of calling them. $40 is real cheap - almost too cheap... banzai510(hainz)
Is this a special thickness gasket??????? Felpro Headgaskets are fairly EZ to get. under 30$ look at Rockauto.com Victor Renz from NAPA also. importedcarparts.com Lordco out of Canada. Or Contact Byron510 on here or the 510realm as he live in Vancouver area. nissanparts.cc ,superceeded L20 gasket which is 85mm used for the L16/18/20 http://www.nissanparts.cc/cart/?pn=11044-u0804 Unless this is a special gasket this is usually a common part.
