datsundan
What's the best way to go about reworking the rear upper wheel well so that the outside of my tires don't rub?I don't want the flared route Quote Link to comment
WagDatto
Most people call it a "mini-tub." Judging by your avatar, you have a 2 door. Here's a few pictures from Dillon's build thread: Basically, you cut the outermost portion of the wheel well that connects to the quarter panel, and weld a straight sheet in its place to give yourself some extra clearance. Do a search for "mini tub" on here and it'll pop up a few hits. Quote Link to comment
cjr198car
The rear quarter can be rolled/pulled. Take a dowel, bat, or something cylinder that can fit between the tire and quarter. Get another person and after heating up the quarter around the areas you are going to be bending have the other person drive forward (very very slow) while you guide the object you are using around the quarter lip. Do this a few times gradually applying more pressure until you reach the clearance you need. -Colton Edited July 8, 2009 by cjr198car Quote Link to comment
