nismosilvia
Wow if someone can throw that kind of cash at a head you would think they would be driving ferraris not a datsun lol Quote Link to comment
72240z
I dont think your aware of the conversion rate lol. It's just shy of $6500, not really Ferrari territory. 1 Quote Link to comment

bloodontheapex
8.6 to 1 Damn. for some reason I thought it was 8.8. That's so low. Guess I might have to re-needle those SUs. Any clue on the cfm of the engine or the cfm difference between the L24 and L24e? Quote Link to comment
72240z
I ran SM performance needles on a l24 with just about the same comp and was fine. Lesser stock needles would be fine too. I wouldn't worry about it.cfm flow differences are negligible. Besides if anything was to be changed it should be that motor or comp lol. Quote Link to comment

Changing the comp or engine is more work than I'm willing to put in for the gain. If I was going to tear out the 2.4, it might as well get a 2.8. I just want to swap out the FI and give it carbs, I don't want to do a heart transplant. Maybe down the road it will get a high comp 2.8, the Mpgs would probably be better. Right now, the Mpgs are good and I like the cheap low octane gas. Quote Link to comment
ArchetypeDatsun
Hm. Do you know the compression ratio of the L24e in the 1979 model 810? bloodontheapex
^Love those wheels. Were those the stock 810 alloys? I finally got my 810 back today. Planned to do it a while ago, but with the hospital stay and everything, it got delayed. So nice to have the old girl back. Quote Link to comment

bloodontheapex
Did the 280zxt come stock with an oil cooler? If so, does anyone have a picture? Also, If any of y'all are interested before I make a FS thread, I'm selling my SU set up. I can't afford to do it all right now. Plus the 810 is running really well with the new injectors.
