Beau M
I have a friend that is doing some work to his Datsun, in the back near the gas tank. There is a 1" gap between two panels where some rusty metal was removed, its not structural in any way. Should I... I mean HE... fill in the gap in with expanding foam, then paint over it? Would it be waterproof? HE is just a little worried about welding near the gas tank, and its a real PITA to get to the spot, so I've heard. Is he being ghetto, or will it work? -Beau Quote Link to comment

thisismatt
If he wants it to rust out more, by all means fill with expanding foam. Quote Link to comment
datrod
Expansion foam is a big ass sponge. Not a good idea. Quote Link to comment
