Figbuck
That is too funny. No trucks or did I miss something? They called station wagons vans and Z cars Zeds. :) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I used to have an old 510 fix it manual and the goons were called estate cars I believe, and the 510 car is a saloon. Here's more: boot...... trunk bonnet....hood dampers..shocks sump.......oil pan Up here in Canada we say 280 Zed but we don't say Zed Zed Top. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
There's a truck or 2 in the UK... most rusted away. Eddie Rattley (Ratdat) had a couple but his site doesn't list them any more. Quote Link to comment

What's a goon? :P That would be the Haynes manual. Most of those were written in the UK and sold here throughout the 70s and 80s. And as such, use all the Queen's English names for everything. As we all should. ;) Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
goon /gun/ 1.Used primarily on west coast by Datsun enthusiasts as a slang term to denote a Datsun station wagon. Oh, I knew what it meant. I just thought it was funny that in the same post where you mentioned them using different/odd names for stuff, you used one. ;) Quote Link to comment
