I robbed a bunch of parts off a 79 at the junkyard, but the tail gate didnt have this piece, and I didnt see holes where one could have been attached... What about the tan 79 K/C you're parting out... It doesnt have one? I could fab one pretty easily out of steel or aluminum, but it wouldn't have the "ribs". It would just be flat, with the two sides, and the bottom flanges bent. Strangely enough... My 77 has this peice you are talking about... Weird... Link to comment
