lynchfourtwenty
look, leave the stock one in, just unplugged.. then install the other one in the center console infront of shifter.. or something like that.. that way if someone were to complain about that they really cant.. i personely would rather get something with a nice stereo, however some people are picky, so they like it to look stock, but actually have a system.. if that makes sense.. but installing it in the center console is the best solution.. i got my truck with a busted dash so i raplaced it, i just have my oil press an engine temp gauges where the stereo goes.. my actual stereo is a ford focus cd player it sits in the tray under the glove box hehe Link to comment
groatd
ya that does make sense, what about the idea of puting bucket seats in it?> Link to comment
lynchfourtwenty
lol what im tryin to say is leave the stock one in the dash unplugged, put a aftermarket one in the center console.. as for bucket seats.. they have to have really thin backs or else you eat the steering wheel Link to comment
groatd
ya i got that. im going to put some fat subs in it lol and do u know anybody that can sell me some cheap wheels and tires to put ion my truck? Link to comment

Link to comment
lynchfourtwenty
get another box.. would be easier an possibly cheaper in the long run.. the floor pans jus cut out an weld in sheet metal.. Link to comment
groatd
i was hoping you wouldent say that, but how would it cost less to get a new box? i mean 100 for a used bed and like 150 to ship cuz im sure theres not one close to me. i live in sweet home oregon, and i have the sheet metal and the bondo? Link to comment
Weaver
Shit, after seeing those, I wouldn't give you $100 for it. Cutting out the rusted panel and welding in a new one will work fine. I think I've seen some generic panels for repairing truck beds (the wavy sheet metal) you could use one of those to do a quick fix for the bed, but it'll be a lot of work getting rid of the rust. replacing the floor pan is a pretty easy job though, just recently did that to mine: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee305/weaver2109/Truck/DSCF0081.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee305/weaver2109/Truck/DSCF0145.jpg Link to comment
izzo
lol dood, youll never get 1500 out of that with out putting 3000 into it you are in oregon, theres 620 datsuns all over the place. just look on craigs list, in the auto trader, the local paper, the free paper. you will see them. Keep yoru eyes peeled and you will find them in fields too. There is an add in southern oregon somewhere for a whole cab cheap, rust free. This is no longer a for sale thread, more a learning thread for the proud new datsun owner Link to comment
lynchfourtwenty
beds can be found in junk yards pretty easy.. i've seen some good ones, u might have to come north a bit, but u could prolly stuff it in the current bed an strap it down some how.. Link to comment
izzo
Just dawned on me that you are Beebani's friend. I remember him asking for a flex plate for you, and i remember seeing an ad on craigs list. Anyways, this thread should probably be moved to another section and a new for sale should be put up. Sorry for taking it over, im getting out of this thread Link to comment

DISLEXICDIME
i am not trying to be a dick (for once) but that's just crazy) the last 2 620's bought where in better shape then that and i didn't pay over 400 for each one and they both had many aftermarket parts on them when i got them. I hope you are a good body man because if you are not that rust repair is going to cost some cash! If i was in your shoe's i would find another truck with less rust swap the parts you like off this one on to the other one and sell the rusty one.:) Link to comment
jeks180
I know this thread is old as dirt but I have 300 in hand don't care how much rust it has an would kick someone in the taint for a 620 right now, I also have a 78 pontiac wagon for sale... hit me up I'm in lynnwood wa Link to comment
izzo
someone would have to kick you in the taint if you bought it :D Link to comment
jeks180
Man why's that just cause I wouldn't mind having to replace floors or something like that for a running project? I don't mind rust, I just CANNOT have a nonrunner at my house right now haha But hey I'll take a kick for a truck hahaha. Link to comment
Guest kamakazi620
ya you'll cut up the dash!! i say fix it up and keep it.your never gonna get 1500 for that truck,i mean c'mon you paid 150 for it and put in a flexplate thats a 150 dollar job for a mechanic you got 300 bucks in,ANY profit off a car/truck is good, but trying to get 1500 for some thing you paid 150 for is retarded FAIL,i say ask 500-650 for it on craigslist or keep it,you never know when you'll need a truck....case in point..i bought my 620 for 300 with no carb/battery got a craigslist weber and non egr intake new battery/cable and been drivin'her since,i know i'll never get what i put in to her but i've used the truck several times this year,to the dump movin friends engines moved my sister.trucks are worth their weight in gold just not if your sellin'it..btw WELCOME to ratsun Link to comment
