help needed- what alternator is this!?!

Looks like a GM one wire unit.

 

what is wrong with it??????? Did you ck the voltage????????

 

if it works its usually better than the old datsun alternators.

 

So I will assume the car is wired up for this IR type alternator already!!!!!!!!

 

Dude you need to tell us the symtoms of whats happening before just saying ,What is this ? I want to change it. We need to know whats the symtoms.

yes, I checked voltage. The car is wired up for ir and I have worked my way back to the alt.

 

I know its a gm one wire, I just cant seem to find one with this mount pattern and orientation. The closest I could find was on an 84 olds.

I would just take that to NAPA and I bet they have one of those GO FASTER type ones already in stock.

 

or just summit racing and look at alternatora and they have photos of those as those are very common alternator.

At least I seem them at the Napa in Renton/kent the main one in back on the self.

 

I found this right of the bat I dont know if the same but looks close
