Phlebmaster
Ok....I was going to wait to start this, but I went to look over this 1973 240Z yesterday and I am going to get her. :D I sat down in the driver's seat and fell in love! She has new struts and control arms, a small amount of rust in the usual places.....but it is a Z car. I have wanted one for ever and now I finally have one. She also comes with a set of round top SUs and some other stuff. I WILL need help from you Z car guys...since this is all new to me. Does anyone have a 240Z rear hatch emblem?? Here are some pictures.... Out side body..... Here is the interior.... The engine bay...... Other specifics..... The rust...... I am very happy to add this to my collection. Quote Link to comment

Zombro
Nice. I like that steering wheel. We know you will do it up right, phleb. Quote Link to comment
Mr.Woof's72z
Is that a crack-free dash in the 240!?!? Looks like a great base car for a mild performance build/resto, especially with the lack of rust in the rear hatch section, battery, and fenders/rockers (looks like some serious surface rust but no rusting through). My vote goes for some 40 DCOE's, but round top SU's are a close second. Edit: picture of my engine bay to entice you... Edited May 30, 2009 by Mr.Woof's72z Quote Link to comment
Phlebmaster
I can't wait to get started!! I will need help setting up those round tops...I have never touched an SU set-up before. :) The linkage is something else...and I am used to cable linkage (very simple) not the crazy twisty bar crap that's on these Z cars. Quote Link to comment
Jester
Hey Aaron: When you get it road worthy, let me know. Bring it down and we'll take a trip over to Z-Therapy. (About 15 min away) Steve is an awesome guy. He will get her dialed in for ya. Congrats on the new Datsun. Quote Link to comment

Jester
So......which one are you bringing to Camby?? Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Maybe get a Isky Cam also the 475.275 around that size. If you want you still can run stock vlave spring or get a inner or out aftermarket to run with the stock springs and nissanretainers or even the Isky ones and new lash pads Quote Link to comment
Phlebmaster
So......which one are you bringing to Camby?? Well, heres the deal.....I can only drive one, so I am thinking that I need to bring the 620. I traded my beloved 620 for this 240Z....I might be able to "borrow" it for the show. I may bring the 240Z....I have to work some things out first. ;) Edited June 2, 2009 by Phlebmaster Quote Link to comment
