280ZX windsheild trim clips

I had to snap off all my old windshield clips to get the trim off, when I did the rust repair at the bottom of the windshield. I have the replacement clips, but can't figure out which way they need to go. Doesn't look like either way will hold the trim in well. Anyone got any pics of how the clips are supposed to look installed? Or, an alternative? Thanks.

I can look at the parts car I have in the morning and take a pic!

if the Z and 510 moulding is similiar, then the clips tuck under the seal lips and are more of a cosmetic finisher. they just cover the ends.

 

compare orientation to the rest of the moulding and install last
