Burabuda
uh, that's not a datsun 710 ;) Quote Link to comment
Weaver
It's the Japanese version of the 710, isn't it? Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
hehe, yeah it is. i'm being pedantic on porpoise. Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
on 2nd thought, the datsun 710 is the usa version of that car ;) Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Not true. All over the world, the engine compartment chassis plate says '710'. But yes, the badges on the outside differ. Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
ahh, yes true ... see your title? so we're dealing with marque, badges, sheetmetal, body differences ... not chassis # semantics aside, i'd say it's definitely not the best datsun 710 ever Quote Link to comment
Duncan
hehe, yeah it is. i'm being pedantic on porpoise. Stop being such a pedantrist. It's better looking than the US 710's, but the coolest ever? I would also give it a nay.. Quote Link to comment
jrbd10
its nice but im bias...i love mine! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
No Italian sedan or coupe ever looked better than this: Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
sorry dunc i'll always take the chance to have fun with the penultimate pedantic dd himself and he knows i'm teasing 'cause we know each other--longer than you and i have known each other in fact :D having said that, it's not the best 710 ever because it looks like a bit of a rally car in street clothing: 1) molded in flares 2) too high in the air (rallye suspension) and the fender mirrors don't belong. the color doesn't bother me as such, but i don't like it on a rallye car and ... it's ... not ... a ... SSS !?!, so that's that ;) Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
OK . How about "best Violet ever that is a non-SSS model"? Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
ok, i'm guessing we're going with ht's over 2drs, 4drs or goons? so here's one i mentioned a last week: a nice jdm violet (what the 710 is called in japan) is this silver one that recently sold for $12k: Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Would you believe an OK violet of the outdated rallye style? I'm not a fan of stretched tires and lowered rear like the silver JDM style. Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
you don't like silver 'cause it's a similar style to your ute? ah, but you can raise that silver one up and put narrower offset wheels but that blue rallye is sorta messed up now Quote Link to comment
Cuts metal like mad
I like the silver one better... :D Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
I like the silver one better... :D Yep, the blue one needs to be doped about 3-4 inches before it has a chance :D Quote Link to comment
jrbd10
silver all the way! Quote Link to comment
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX 710
My silver one all the way! Quote Link to comment
