Kinda Hippocratic coming from someone with a cut up rare car as their pic...

Haters gonna Hate.....

Given this famous quote of his....

1383239_10151972840971383_186889507_n.jp

                                                                                                       Hippocrates

I really got a good laugh out of this post...nothing like a little typo and spellcheck send you somewhere you didnt mean to go

  "Kinda Hippocratic"?

Here's the thing... Hippocrates is the "father of modern medicine" - the hippocratic oath is what doctors take when they graduate med school...being " kinda hippocratic" is like  bein "kinda doctor-ish"

Perhaps we meant "Kinda Hypocritical"?

.... and yes, haters, and all that too.....

Moving on... just dropped the font of my wagon down a bit. Nothing outrageous, but I also dont like tip-toe-ing over curbs, gutters, and driveways.

Rear is still fully up as you can plainly see.... it took 240z inserts with spacers, and cutting 2.5 coils to get this low in front

Control arms are still just above level, no strut spacers needed, Ride is MUCH nicer with new bushings, bearings, and balljoints as well.

Glam shot from 2 days before (with 510)

Front end used to be a little taller than the rear...

that blue doesn't even look real.... it looks photo shopped .... but then again my eyes don't "deal" with blues very well :)

Lol... its real alright....and very very blue.... 16 cans of Rustoleum "maui blue" in fact... you can see tons of pics of how the wagon was... "Say hello to Phuglee" is its build page on Ratsun

But... you are also right..sort of.... on the pic of the 2 cars in front of the beach, the sides facing the camera were shadowed. I did brighten the image a little for clarity...while the pic was still on the camera....so not exactly photoshopped, but altered for sure.

good catch...your eyes seem pretty good to me! lol

Heres an un edited shot... taken on a cloudy day.

I kinda like all the 710s, the black rockers on the blue wagon make it look 6-8 inches higher than it actuly is.

Lol - I was warned about that.

I think it was "BentAxleBob" that told me 4x4 guys do the same thing to give the illusion that their rides are more lifted than they actually are.

I did it to give the wagon a more slender appearance from top to bottom, but didnt realize it would make the car seem to clear the ground by a mile.

I still have the front, and side window trim to paint black, as well as doing something with the door handles.... I may paint the runners blue by the end of things.

The rear hatch got the black stripe because I got sick of the solid blue under the license and rear lights.... no im not set in stone on anything yet.

Obviously the sticker is not necessary. But it helps.

  • 2 weeks later...

IRS (fap fap fap)

Also isn't that the 711 rear glass and trunk??? used after Jan '76 production date???

Not much about it makes sense. I dont know everything about these cars but I thought the notchback was post 76 only. He states his is a 74. And unless he knows how to hide things, its hard for me to believe its daily.

All things aside, its a beautiful car.

I like the look of this....but,...

We have a brake boosters in our 610s/710s...this will not clear properly and will make things very difficult to remove the filter when the time comes.

.

The '77? was re designed at the back for more shoulder room inside, the rear window changed and the sheet metal around it. I think the trunk lid also. It was called a 711.

I own a 76 711.

My remark was a response to nuqi's 160j

What I dont understand is how his car is a 74 notchback. I thought all 160js (710s) besides the 711 were fastback and I thought that the 711 was only made in 76 and 77.
