datzenmike
Dumb question time. A 5speed came with my dime, what do I need to look for to tell what the tranny came out of and the specs of it? Thanks. R...2...4 1...3...5 Dogleg shift pattern If it has this shift pattern it is a stock FS5W63A dogleg 5spd probably from a '77-'79 200sx. Also, possible is an optional 5spd from a '78-'80 HLA10. It will measure 26" long. 1...3...5 2...4...R Standard shift pattern With this shift pattern it is likely an FS5W71B and could be from a '77-'79 620 truck, '77-'83 280z/zx (non-turbo), '79-'84 810/Maxima. It will be 31.5" long. In the rare case of a standard shift pattern that measures 26" long, the tranny is from an '80 720 2wd. Quote Link to comment
freekwonder
Posting pictures probably would have helped. Damn how have I missed the thread the realm. I swear my head isn't working anymore. Here are pictures though. Quote Link to comment
