Wagon rear springs

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to identify the rear springs on my '70 wagon. They have four thin plates (appear OE) and one short thick plate on the bottom. Anybody familiar with these? This is my first wagon, so they could be OE, aftermarket, or custom. Picture at http://www.racingonthecheap.com/for-sale/wagon-rear-spring/

Thanks

Mine has a 7/71 production date. Has the 4 leafs and no overload. Not sure if it's OE or not but thought I'd chime in. I kinda wish I had overloads. They shouldn't have an effect on ride quality until they actually touch the next leaf.

Quick question, while we're on this subject. Could something like this be used as a traction bar at all to help with axle wrap? Seems like it'd be a very easy addition if it helps at all...

A thick plate that would wrap up against the leafs under heavy throttle?

Any other wagon owners willing to post pics or count leafs? We have mine with five (including the thick, short, lower leaf), one reply pic with just three leafs, another reply with four, and one reply claiming five is stock (?). And I've seen another with four??

Thanks
