  1. It sprays nice. I used the owner of the paint booths gun tonight though. Finished at 12:30am. Tomorrow (today) I'll shoot the body and exterior of panels...
  2. Painting inside of panels today, body tomorrow...
  3. Everything blocked but the body.
  4. Now I know why people close their eyes and open their checkbook.. The 510Keeper makes it seem like it's a 45min job to paint a car
  5. Easy to say that  I never want to paint another car again...
  6. I found a really nice downdraft booth to rent. The guy is an old timer who restores cars in his barn behind his house. Super helpful and really flexible. It makes it so much less stressful than the other options I had. After looking under better light I decided to lay down some more high build and block it out once again. It will be home by Sunday night.
  7. I'm over the blocking... My wife was a little unsure about helping me load the car on the trailer ?? It's now at the paint booth. It won't come home until I've painted it.. it will be home next weekend for sure.
  8. Godadddy FTP. Mine forever. The free options will all go away or break someday. I own my domain now so I can just move it.
  9. Blocking high build is so relaxing. It's the best feeling to feel how nice and straight she is when you sand that butter off. One more fat coat of high build, block again and then paint. She's gonna look fucking killer!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
  10. Encouragement goes a long way ;) Car is in high build. Next step is block and then high build again, block and then seal/paint. I'm really hoping for the weekend following 4th of July. I'll probably haul it up to where the paint booth is this Sunday to shoot the high build and block again on the 4th. We'll see how it looks once I start blocking..
  11. Honestly if it wasn't for the encouragement from you guys this car probably would've been abandoned or in storage. I feel it's a team effort and you guys deserve some credit for it.
  12. It would be fun to lead and make gaps perfect. Super time consuming. Most of mine is "good enough". For one I don't wanna spend anymore time and since I cut the shit out of the car it can only be "so good".. It will fool the majority. If you look close enough you'll find flaws but it was never meant to be a show car
  13. Now that I have all the parts for the frontend I decided to assemble and check fitment before paint. All is well.
  14. It's all the detail that separate the big dogs from the rest... The driver side door had some fitment issues. The top/back edge didn't match the quarter panel. Can't move the quarter panel and I ain't slathering filler to build up the quarter... So I had to go inside and cut a slit so I could push the door skin inward. Looks good now!! I'm shooting for paint on 4th of July weekend and be on the road for Blue Lake. I THINK I can hit this goal....
  15. 225/45-15 R1R's on these. Probably Maxxis Victra RC-1 205/50-15 on the old Rota's for track use.
  16. Fat lips? :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
  17. I'm reeeeeeeealy going to try and make this one. My car should be done and this would be the reveal show. Fingers crossed!
  18. Well it looks like she won't see the paint booth this weekend. My buddy that's helping with the finish body work is super detailed and we're making the body way nicer than I ever imagined. It's worth the wait! My wheels are shipping today!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
  19. It takes a real man to paint his car purple.. I mean somebody up north of me painted their engine bay pink...
  20. I already signed you up.. They should be knocking on your door any day
