  1. Yes I know the plate under the hood had this info. Problem is the plate is missing. Can anybody tell me the color code for 85 king cab ST truck. It is tan with the tan or camel interior. Need paint code if possible. Thanks
  2. Just pitching a question to all you fine folks. I have a 85 720 King Cab with approximately 160,000 miles . I have recently reconditioned/restored the trucks interior/ hvac/instruments switches etc,It is turning into a very nice little truck to use a weekend or daily driver for that matter. My question is this of all the little mechanical electronic parts that I haven't replaced such as electric fuel pump ignition modules etc. as they all seem to be working just fine. What or which component would you recommend that I consider going ahead and replacing to prevent a break down on the side of the road. Thanks
  3. Both Photos are of a new and old mount for comparison.
  4. Hello Pineclone I'm not sure you are seeing my messages because additional messages I'm posting are not appearing in this thread for some reason. Anyway, I'd like to move forward with purchasing your radio asap. Thanks
  5. The one you pictured is much flatter and appears to be considerably larger in diameter. I doubt it would fit in my trans. The one that chrashtd420 suggested looks identical in shape just hoping it's the same dimensionally.
  6. Yes it looks like that one and I ordered that specific one yesterday it was about $14.00 delivered to my door. So hopefully it will fit, thanks for your suggestion. I now have to get the piece that was left in the bore removed. hopefully what's left of it will come out without too much resistance
  7. That I’m aware it has to fit in the original bore. I was curious if anyone had previous experience before I purchase one. Thanks
  8. I’m sure you are correct. I would use the original except for one of them is broken and I’m sure the other one Likly sagged from the years of weight and heat that they are subjected to. I will ask you opinion on installation of the engine. Would you recommend installing the engine and then the transmission or installing them as a unit
  9. I need help in locating new motor mounts for my 85 720. I have ordered two different sets that were supposed to be for my truck. The first set was not even close. The second set is close But are not the same. the stud that Mounts to the engine bracket is higher than the centerline of the original. They also stand approximately .160 thousands higher/taller than the originals. further the locator pin on the engine side is slightly off and will not fit into the original engine bracket. also the locator pin on the frame side is larger diameter and will not fit into the frame in the passenger side. again these are very close but just enough difference that if I were to make them fit I’m afraid the engine would sit to high in the truck. hopefully some ones can provide a place to order the correct ones I need.
  10. I broke the white plastic breather vent on while cleaning my 5 speed trans prior to installing t back into my 85 720 truck. I found a new NOS vent on ebay for a 240Z would they possibly be interchangeable. Thanks to all that comment on Ratsun.
  11. Yes I prefer to keep the Hitachi for various reasons. I have considered the Weber cost not withstanding but the issues of modifying the original air cleaner to adapt to the weber and the A/C kicker solenoid etc. I prefer to keep my truck factory appearing as well. Thanks for your responses to all my various questions. And If I may ask Id love to see you change your imogie or what ever you call the little video image attached to your responses. Yes its a religious thing to me. Just a request certainly not a demand. Thanks again
  12. Yes it’s free to move the actuator arm in and out of the actuator body. So maybe it will work. Has anybody had any luck with the Chinese hitachi carbs that are available for about a hundred bucks. In the event this one doesn’t work properly. amazingly prior to the blown head gasket issue I had. This engine and carb ran perfectly as for idle and sensible power for what it is. Now with fresh engine and a hopefully functional secondary it should very satisfactory for a daily driver
  13. Hello my secondary throttle blade was frozen in the closed position. I have taken the base plate off and gotten the secondary back in smooth operation. Is the secondary operated by engine vacuum thru the bore itself. Or does the actuator it’s attached to open it with vacuum. Or is the actuator some sort of restrictive module that slowed the opening of the throttle blade. If it is an actual vacuum module where on the carb is the vacuum line or port to provide vacuum. I wanting to check it’s operation before reassembling the carb but I can’t fine the vacuum source to make it operate. Thanks in advance you guys are great
  14. My 85 z24 did not have the oiler
  15. Does the factory radio work. My truck has the same radio and it works but the face is somewhat discolored. Yours looks to be in pretty good condition appearance wise. I would like to purchase yours if it works as it should
