I have a 4 speed manual transmission from a Datsun king cab. It is stock and was removed after about 15,000 original miles. (I installed a 5 speed). The transmission was kept in a container in a shed so it is not corroded in any way. It does not have the speedometer gear fitting or the clutch fork boot.

I have a Left and Right hand front spindle assemblies from a Datsun king cab. They are all stock and were removed after about 12,000 original miles when I converted my truck to a 4x4 in 1980. The parts were kept in a container in a shed so they are not corroded in any way. They still have original grease from the factory. I have all the hardware. I do not have the spindles as I did reuse the on the conversion. The original wheel bearings are still on the spindles. Make offer. Available for local pickup or you pay shipping costs

  3. All, thanks for all of your suggestions. It turns out it was so corroded all I had to do was tug on the wire to get it out. I have ordered a new pin on Amazon and hope it is the right size.
  4. It is not evident in the photo but the pin is barely intact. It wobbles and is ready to fall off. In the aerospace world we have extraction tools to remove pins from the backshells of connectors but the back shells and locking mechanisms are all made of metal. I am not sure automotive uses are the same since they do not have to be maintained in the same manner.
  5. I have a pin that corroded in the 6 pin connector in the engine compartment of a 1979 Datsun 620 king cab. Does anyone know if the corroded one can be extracted and replaced?
  6. Thank you for info. This will work perfectly
  7. I need a hose 4 inches longer than stock. NAPA refused to try a find one longer unless I did the research and told them which one I needed. It was same thing all the auto parts stores told me.
  8. Does anyone know the thread pitch, diameter and any other dimensions for the fittings on the rear brake hose on rhe 620 truck. I need a custom one made and everywhere I have inquired too keeps asking me for fitting dimensions.
  9. I have had no luck finding a 4.875 ring and pinion or differential with that gear ratio in it. Do anyone know of a business that can make one? Or is there a axel from a Toyota or later Datsun/Nissan that can replace my current one that would have the 4.875 gears in it?
  10. I have a kenwood head unit that has an ignition power wire, a ground, a direct 12v power wire. I am also installing a kicker key 200.4 amp and 4 speakers. There is a blue wire from the amp that hooks to a remote wire fronm the radio to power on the amp when the radio is turned on. I ran a dedicated 12 gauge wire from the battery to the amp. Do I need to run a separate dedicated power wire to the radio? Can I use the original truck harness black and blue wires for the radio ground and ignition wires?
  11. Thank you as always
  12. Does anyone know if the factory wire harness can be used to hook up an aftermarket radio. There is a blue and black wire in the harness but I am not sure which to use as the power wire. Also does anyone know how to insert a photo into a post?

    620 Air Conditioning

My truck is a California model so I cannot bolt anything on the drivers side of the block because that is where the song pump bolts too. Who makes the generic brackets and compressor that I can buy from, that will bolt to the passenger side of the engine? Can all the other components still work with the newer compressor?

    620 Air Conditioning

I have two questions. 1) does anyone know the sequence stack up of the a/c adjustable belt pulley. There is a nut, washer, spacer, forward cover, pulley/ bearing, and back cover. When removing it I dropped it and did not notice the proper location of the spacer. 2) I have a factory installed a/c unit with the compressor installed with the cast iron bracket. My question is, is the a more modern compressor that will replace the original one that uses the newer Freon in it?
  15. Will the differential in a 1966 Datsun roadster fit in my 620 truck axle? Or can I at least remove the 4.875 ring & pinion from that differential? There is one for sale on eBay but it says it won’t work in my truck.https://ebay.us/m/L9h8LX
