Hello, I would be interested in a head. If you can add some pics of the best one that would be great! My sister lives in Granite falls so she could go pick it up for me. I found one at a junk yard but Im wondering if it has already been milled. Im not sure what the chamber depth is supposed to be where valves are.Also, is this a closed chamber? I really don't know alot about these.Just looking for a good head that hasn't been machined yet.

Would you suggest using blue thread lock on the holes once I tap them or like pipe tape?

Hello, I'm looking for a head for a l20B that could be built for performance. I have heard the U67 heads are the best bet. Correct me if Im wrong. The current head I have has the water ports on it and it leaks. Ive tried new gaskets,new header studs/washers. I really would like to buy a head that doesn't have the water ports so I can be done with the leaking. I would be willing to buy one if anybody has one for sale. I found a pic of what Im looking for. Not really what the price is for a reasonable buy?

So I was wondering what size intake studs I use. I know it's #8 1.25 pitch but as far as length goes. My header/intake are 1/2 inch and the cone washers are 2/8 of a inch. The problem is I can't find any studs that are relatively inexpensive. Maybe you guys have a link of some studs on ebay or Amazon?

Well it looks like it isn't there or possibly a weld.

Can anyone make out this head? It appears the head number was sanded off. Its for a l20B.

I pretty sure the cone washers are going to work. The intake and header are the exact thickness.

So would you guys suggest replacing the gasket and starting over or simply adding the bolts to stop the leaking?

So are these the threaded holes your talking about? Basically your saying put bolts in the threaded holes with washers to clamp down the intake and header to block the coolant.

Sorry, I wasn't really clear. It's leaking coolant, dripping off of the bottom of the header. I'm not sure if I missed something during the header install.

Well my fears became a reality! The L20B I had built from California Datsun immediately started to leak upon startup. I have never done a head gasket replacement before but I thought Hainz made a video at one point. I guess I will put in a street cam while I'm doing the head. Any recommendations on anything else while I have the head off? Gaskets,new springs,anything I can do like polishing? I don't mind spending the money making this thing right. Ok so it's set below a wire with adjustments to the left or right. I think now if I can get it fired up I can adjust it with my timing light, right? How does it look?
