  1. I appreciate all of the insight and yes indeedy, the previous bumper that was on the truck (when I purchased it) had only 1 end attached (poorly) and both bumper & valance had lots of twists and dents throughout... currently (with a nicer bumper than what I had), each outer-end sticks-out about 3/4s of an inch, so in a perfect world, I will try to attach with lots of quality rubber in between and hope for the best... Thank you everyone again for the help & insight!...
  2. FANtastic resource as well, all kinds of nice goodies, thank you!... And I must agree that I myself had not had much luck at the dealer...
  3. awesome & thanks! I appreciate the confirmations advice & excited to get going on this, thanks!...
  4. ah ok, your saying to just get a thread checker and get the bolts at the hardware store(?), seems easy enough, and for the rubber, I will try to use what I have lying around, something is bound to be a nice buffer... A friend sent me a picture of the setup and said the Hex Head was 12mm but the thread more like 10mm, I will confirm, thanks!...
  5. Hello & thank you in advance for any insight / advice as basically, my front Bumper is not attached on the sides and so I have been trying to gather the bolts, rubber, washers etc. but have been unsuccessful (other than the washers) as of yet... I myself have a '79 620, and as far as I can tell, I am in need of (though I am not opposed to going completely off-script): Bolt-Bumper Side To Fender: 01111-00331 Rubber-Bumper Side: 62660-J0101 and possibly: Shim-Bracket Bumper: 62678-21000 These all seem to be discountinued through Nissan though I am able to order the Washers... Thank you all for your time... (My apologies if I posted this twice, as I was not signed in so unsure if it went through)
  6. Thank you maestro DatzenMike, as always, you've not only answered my question but have enlightened-me beyond-it, greatly appreciated!... I believe that we have original mounting holes on the Driver side pillar while the current fender mount/hole is on the Passenger side... The truck is currently getting a Maaco paint job, so I pulled all of exterior elements before dropping it off, which is when I discovered the ripped antenna cable... I was contemplating going back to the pillar mount but did not ask the shop to plug the fender hole and so, I think that we will let-it-ride for now (so to speak)... Thank you again!...
  7. Greetings and now just looking for some guidance/ suggestions in regards to a fender mounted antenna for our 79 620, wondering if there is an actual part number or a suggested replacement perchance?... I am still trying to salvage mine, but the mast is rough and the cable (from the base) is currently torn off, so I am trying to figure-out our best options, thank you all in advance...
  8. This is my first Datsun and so I am always grateful for any tips & suggestions, I will employ the throttle blip in the meantime but also, examine every hose just to be certain, thank you!...
  9. Greetings Datenmike & thank you once again for your help!... I don't actually have a Weber carb, though I will make sure everything is secured & tight... I think ya hit the nail on the head as it feels like the fuel shut off is working beautifully, too beautifully it seems and so the solenoid is not kicking back on, I'll do some snooping later today, thank you!...
  10. *Just a quick annotation that the Truck runs great around the City, since this phenomenon does not occur in-general, only when going from high speeds (freeway driving in my case) towards a Stop...
  11. This is an odd recent-occurrence, but now, when getting-off the freeway and coming to my first Stop, the truck will generally "die" on me as I approach low RPMs / a Stop... I've consequently had to start it back-up in Neutral (while slow rolling) but in doing so, it seems to be stuck in some-sort-of state where I need to be accelerating or it will die... However IF I have the luxury of being at a Red light (or heavy traffic), I can put it in Park, rev the RPMs and it seems to return to a "normal" state, once-again properly dropping RPMs without stalling... I have indeed recently installed a Fuel Cutoff solenoid which I suspect may be contributing to (the source) of my problems, though I am having trouble figuring-out how it could malfunction(?)... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I will most likely disable and go back to dieseling in the meantime... Thank youz!...

I'm not sure how common these are but I do like the way that they look and so, I would love a pair for my 79 Datsun 620... If anybody has a decent set that they would like to part-with, please send me a message... I have no idea as the price of these, so anything fair would be greatly appreciated!... Thank you kindly...

    Ask for price

  13. Priming it of sorts?... I did not consider that actually but am now reading up on that... awesome & thank you!...
  14. Got it, thank you, wonderful, I love the sólo ingenuity but will probably ask someone to hold for me... I just ordered the pump, thanks again!
