The 2000 roadster came with 3.70 gears also but i think horsepower was over 130 stock,,and the dual Solex 2000 was a pretty powerful car. i was actually hoping for those ( 3.70) when he gave me the rear end,, cuz i do a lot of freeway traveling,,but it was not to be. i assume that the 1600 in such a small car it didn't need to much grunt to get it going anyway so having high gear ratio wouldn't even be noticed,, these tires and screaming cheetah wheelies 215/60/13 rear 205/60/13 front

Yeah i edited that in when you were posting.. :lol: ....... i have a couple friends that are like roadster and 411 whisperers ( or what normal people call "weirdos" ) and one mentioned the roadster rear being over an inch skinnier per side and he was really certain the leafs were the same distance apart and that the brakes were all pretty much the same ... Weeell the other one just happened to have both a 411 and a roadster up in the air and it was true .. weird but true .

Spring perches are the same width apart and the brakes ( shoes cylinders, adjusters) are almost identical the only thing that is a major difference is the parking linkage is on opposite sides but nothing a cutter wheel and a welder won't fix... One main bonus will be the rear gearing will come down from 4.37 to a less slightly less teeth rattling 3.888888888,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, well 3.90 really. Other pictures of all 4 adjusters that were cleaned up and re-greased which is weird they all came apart with no issues at all 411 ones look lighter but they measure out the same size and mount exactly same I figure i will run all the brake parts off the 411 on the roadster rear end since they are in really good shape. I am waiting on axle bearings for "new" rearend since it's apart anyways ,, i thought what the fuck eh?

So the Santa Clause mobile needs some wider tread and to fit them in need to lose some width in the rear end type affair.. Needless to say there would be rubbing issues even with a hard fender roll. Soooooooooooooooooo i got this. It measures backing plate to backing plate at To replace the OG rearend that measures ,,,,,,,this Should help a little bit once fenders are rolled,,,,,,, which i guess i will have to buy a fender roller for since Tristins of Olympia has went radio silent since he got what he wanted in trade.

That was quite the spirited drive,, i am pretty sure i saw one side of Waynos duallys come off the ground once.. i got no pictures since i had gas tank leak that set me back so late it was all i could do to just haul ass down there just in time to go on cruise,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, forgot camera batteries and what-not.

You should have used the same collar as the 4speed since not all clutch plates are the same height/depth,,, or measured to see if the collars were the same / different. Is there any adjustment on the slave cylinder rod ? BUT is it slipping when you are in 5th and loading it down,, such as going up a grade?? It might just be you need a new clutch and the 4speed didn't show it as much as 5speed will.. I would pull tranny out and compare collars first and go from there.

Roadster is on lift probably till done,, no room in my garage since Donovans engines are taking up that space we cleaned and when it's put together the car will be in there ,, and,,,,,,,,,,, to old to learn new trade.
