    Re-Gearing Question

I have the entire pumpkin out of an 82. And the carrier out of a 620 not sure the year. It was thrown in when I bought parts for my 620. Im trying to put them in a 83.

    Re-Gearing Question

Nope not misunderstanding, I took the whole carrier in with a ring and pinion I took out of another truck. Couldn’t get the back lash right so I took another carrier that felt tight but it had some broken teeth on the ring gear so I couldn’t just swap that pumpkin in. I can not find anything on a ring gear spacer for a h190. The truck I’m putting gears in is for a 83, I have gears I want out of an 83 and out of a 620. Not sure the gear on those.

    Re-Gearing Question

Yep. It’s for the H190 rear.

    Re-Gearing Question

I’m trying to swap gears from 3.87 to 4.38. The shop doing it says I need a ring gear spacer. Anyone know how thick (4mm?) or where to source one?
  5. Thanks for talking through some of this. I need to get everything pulled and see what lines up. For the record. Yes the bolt pattern is different.
  6. I have a 1983.5 4x4 with 3.88 gears. It is the H190. Everything is bigger but there is surely a way to swap the flange?
  7. Yes the yoke, flange and driveshaft are all bigger on the 83. Both are circular but the 83 is about an inch bigger in diameter. Making the bolt pattern to the flange-yoke bigger. I’ll post some pictures up.
  8. I have 2 h190s one from a 79 620 and one from a 82 720. I’m trying to swap one into a 83 720 but the yoke/flange on the 83 720 is larger. I believe Mike said he tried the swap before but the splines are different too? Does this check or is there are way to swap the pumpkins? My goal is to swap out the 3.88 to the 4.375 gears. Is this going to require a new rear end all together?
  9. I’ll sale/practically give you my automatic hubs. I converted to manual. If you search eBay the manual hubs pop up on occasion. I’m using warn.
  10. Datzenmike. Don’t talk about more bushings. Giving me anxiety. I’m still on the front. A-arms. Differential etc.
  11. This is a good start. I’ll post up dimensions and how close I can get with a universal.
  12. I think my part number is correct? Assuming they are original.I’ll do some searching for the entire assembly but just a quick search it shows to be discontinued as well.
  13. Anyone have a lead on the bushing that holds the front differential on a 83 4x4? It is also the same bushing as the mustache bar. Part 55476-U7600 I’ve found a couple that seem close in size but not exact matches.
  14. That’s why I’m going powder coat. Hopefully holds up better. We will see I guess. I’ve never powder coated aluminum so time will tell.
  15. Here is my aluminum one. I see more steel so not sure how common aluminum is. As far as value I’ve seen them from $200 to $450 (steel and aluminum). Guess it’s worth as much as someone wants to pay. https://photos.app.goo.gl/eChxfUruzbdL3YSv6
